  • Forward Cade Cowell and defender Jalen Neal are the third pair of 19-year-olds to start a Gold Cup match for the USMNT. The duo follows DaMarcus Beasley and Landon Donovan (Jan. 21, 2002 vs. Cuba) and George Bello and Gianluca Busio (July 15, 2021 vs. Martinique).
  • At 19 years, 309 days, Jalen Neal is the youngest center back to start for the USMNT in 17 editions of the Gold Cup. Neal is also the second youngest center back to earn a start in official competition for the USMNT. He trails only Mike Windischmann who set the mark at 19 years, 165 days when he started the first of three consecutive World Cup qualifiers on May 19, 1985 against Trinidad and Tobago.
  • Cowell, Jones and Neal all earn their first starts in official competition.
  • Midfielder Djordje Mihailovic earns his first start since the Gold Cup group stage match against Panama on June 26, 2019 in Kansas City.
  • Gianluca Busio earns his first appearance since World Cup qualifying. He last appeared as a substitute on March 27, 2022 against Panama and last started on Nov. 16, 2021 at Jamaica.
  • Center back Matt Miazga starts back-to-back USMNT matches for the first time since Nov. 12 and Nov. 16, 2020 against Wales and Panama, respectively.
  • Midfielder James Sands will appear in his eighth consecutive Gold Cup match, dating back to the 2021 tournament opener against Haiti.
  • Reserves Julian Gressel and Gaga Slonina would make the Gold Cup debuts, as well as their debut in official competition if they come off the bench tonight. Should either appear in any match during the Gold Cup, they will be cap-tied to the United States.
  • Five substitutions are allowed in three different moments. Halftime does not count as a substitution moment.
  • Video assistant referee will be used for all matches in the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup.  
  • This is the first meeting between the USA and St. Kitts and Nevis. The Sugar Boyz are the USMNT’s 100th different international opponent.

  • The referee for tonight’s match is Juan Gabriel Calderon of Costa Rica. The USMNT is 1-0-2 in matches officiated by Calderon, including the 1-0 win against Qatar in the Gold Cup semifinals on July 29, 2021, 0-0 draw at El Salvador in World Cup qualifying on Sept. 2, 2021 and 1-1 draw against Jamaica in World Cup qualifying on Nov. 16, 2021.
