U-15 Men’s Youth National Team Set To Face England, Spain And Japan In Southern Spain

CHICAGO (April 20, 2023) – The U.S. Under-15 Men’s Youth National Team will take on England, Spain and Japan this week at the Pinatar Arena U-15 Supercup in San Pedro del Pinatar, Spain. The training camp, set for April 21-May 1, marks the first international competition for players in this U-15 cycle as preparations continue for the 2023 Concacaf Boys’ U-15 Championship.

Players born on or after Jan. 1, 2008 are age-eligible for this year’s U-15 MYNT. Head coach Tom Heinemann has called 20 players to Spain, including 19 players born in 2008 and one born in 2009.

U-15 MYNT ROSTER BY POSITION (CLUB) - APRIL/MAY TRAINING CAMP

GOALKEEPERS (2): Jack Kortkamp (Sporting Kansas City), Aidan Stokes (New York Red Bulls)

DEFENDERS (6): Miguel Alvardo (Colorado Rapids), Sebastian Chavez (New York City FC), Ramiz Hamouda (Sporting Kansas City), Isaiah Kaakoush (Barca Academy), Juan Villa (Real Salt Lake), Gavin Wolff (Austin FC)

Fourteen players return from the team’s last training camp, held in March in Southern California. Five have appeared in all four events held for the 2008-birth year cycle thus far: goalkeeper Jack Kortkamp, midfielders Liam Lambert, Cavan Sullivan and Jude Terry plus forward Anisse Saidi.

Sullivan is the younger brother of U-20 MYNT forward Quinn Sullivan and is the lone 2009-born player on the roster. Defender Gavin Wolff is the son of former USMNT forward/current Austin FC head coach Josh Wolff and the younger brother of U-20 MYNT players Tyler Wolff and Owen Wolff.

Eleven clubs are represented on the roster, including eight from Major League Soccer. Three players each come from Los Angeles FC, Philadelphia Union and Real Salt Lake. Forward Marius Aiyenero is the lone player based abroad, currently at Club Torcy in northern France.
