Kelley O’Hara will play in her 126th game for the USWNT. O’Hara last played for the USA on Aug. 3, 2019 but sat out the rest of the year to rehab an ankle injury.
Abby Dahlkemper will start her 48th game for the USWNT in what will be her 54th career cap. In 2019, she played the most minutes of any other player on the team with 1,877 despite sitting out the last game of the year.
Becky Sauerbrunnwill earn cap No. 172today. She is the third player who has played exclusively as a defender to play 150 or more times for the WNT.
Crystal Dunn earns cap No. 97 tonight. She has 24 goals for the USWNT but has been consistently playing and excelling as an outside back for the last two years. She is three caps away from becoming the 39th player in USA history to reach the century mark. At Olympic Qualifying four years ago, while playing forward, she scored six goals, including five in one game to tie a U.S. record.
Julie Ertzwill earn her 96th cap and is now four away from becoming the 39th player in USA history to play 100 times for the USWNT. She currently has 19 international goals. She was the 2019 U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year.
Rose Lavelle will earn her 39th career cap today and her 32nd start. She has 10 international goals.
Samantha Mewis, who did not play in the final two games of 2019, is back into the starting lineup and will earn her 61st career cap. She has scored 14 international goals.
Christen Press will earn her 131st cap tonight. She has 51 career goals and 35 career assists.
Carli Lloyd, who played three NWSL seasons in Houston, will captain the USA today and earn her 289th cap. It will be her 15th Olympic Qualifying match, setting a new USWNT record for Olympic Qualifying appearances (Abby Wambach appeared in 14 games). She has 121 international goals, 55 career assists and 22 multi-goal games, which includes eight hat tricks. She scored 16 goals in 2019, most on the team. Lloyd scored her 100th goal in Houston at BBVA Stadium on April 8, 2018. She has also played more than 20,000 minutes in a U.S. uniform, something achieved by just five other USWNT players.
Lynn Williams will play in her 22nd international game tonight. She most recently tallied twice vs. Costa Rica on Nov. 10, 2019, upping her total to six career goals.
