Cindy Parlow Cone, a trailblazer in American soccer, lays claim to an illustrious athletic career that includes being part of the legendary 1999 Women's World Cup Championship team, two Olympic Gold medal teams, and being inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame. Consistently breaking barriers, Cindy made history as the first woman to be elected U.S. Soccer President, bringing with her over two decades of invaluable experience. Her executive track record includes revenue and profit growth, increased stakeholder engagement, large infrastructure build, union negotiations, and thought leadership.

Cone led cultural transformation to enhance talent recruitment, retention, and development as well as prioritize key initiatives. Simultaneously, Cone led U.S. Soccer’s transition of being in service to soccer at all levels and has transformed stakeholder engagement strategy leading to a more inclusive and engaged membership.

Cone was instrumental in the Women’s National Team litigation settlement and through extensive labor negotiations, Cone achieved equal pay agreements with the US Women’s National Team Player Association and the US Men’s National Team Player Association, making U.S. Soccer the first and only federation to achieve equal pay in the world.

Cone guided U.S. Soccer through bringing their commercial rights back in-house which led to record-breaking revenues including doubling year-over-year partnership revenue, and setting ticket sales records and landing new media rights deals. Cone partnered with philanthropic and corporate organizations and local/state governments to build U.S Soccer’s first National Training Center and Headquarters to serve all 27 of U.S. Soccer’s national teams, including 5 disability national teams.

Cone is also chairing U.S. Soccer’s bid to host the 2031 FIFA Women’s World Cup. As part of the legacy of 2026 FIFA World Cup, Cone is actively working to make soccer more accessible so that every kid can walk, ride their bike, or take public transportation to a safe place to play soccer.
