  • USMNT Starting XI Caps (including this match): Tim Ream (71), Luca de la Torre (27), Chris Richards (27), Malik Tillman (21), Patrick Agyemang (8), Diego Luna (8), Max Arfsten (7), Jack McGlynn (7), Sebastian Berhalter (3), Alex Freeman (3), Matt Freese (3).
  • The Starting XI averages 16 caps and seven in official competition. The lineup has an average age of 25 years, 79 days.
  • Mauricio Pochettino starts the same lineup that began Sunday’s Gold Cup opener against Trinidad and Tobago. It’s the first time Pochettino has run out the same Starting XI in back-to-back matches and the first time the USMNT has deployed the same lineup in back-to-back Gold Cup matches since the 2021 Semifinal (1-0 W vs. Qatar) and Final (1-0 W vs. Mexico).
  • Eight starters are 25 or younger: Chris Richards (25); Patrick Agyemang, Max Arfsten, Sebastian Berhalter (24); Malik Tillman (23); Diego Luna and Jack McGlynn (21), Alex Freeman (20).
  • Center back Tim Ream captains the side for the 17th time tonight. With his appearance in Sunday’s opener, Ream (37 years, 255 days) became the oldest field player to feature for the USA in the Gold Cup and second-oldest overall after 38-year-old Tim Howard played in the 2017 Gold Cup.
  • Ream and Chris Richards pair in central defense for the 12th time tonight.
  • Malik Tillman is the only starter with previous experience against Saudi Arabia, appearing off the bench in the 0-0 draw on Sept. 27, 2022 at Murcia, Spain, in the final match before that year’s World Cup.
  • Tillman’s brace on Sunday against Trinidad was the 22nd multi-goal Gold Cup match in USMNT history. He also became the sixth player to do it in the USA’s opening match of the tournament: Eric Wynalda (Jan. 13, 1996 vs. Trinidad and Tobago), Landon Donovan (July 7, 2005 vs. Cuba), Chris Wondolowski (July 9, 2013 vs. Belize), Clint Dempsey (July 7, 2015 vs. Honduras), Tyler Boyd (June 18, 2019 vs. Guyana).
  • Max Arfsten and Diego Luna each recorded two assists in Sunday’s Gold Cup opener, marking the third time a pair of USMNT players have recorded multiple assists in the same Gold Cup match. The others: Jordan Morris and Christian Pulisic (June 22, 2019 vs. Trinidad and Tobago) and Gianluca Busio and Djordje Mihailovic (June 28, 2023 vs. Saint Kitts and Nevis).
  • Striker Patrick Agyemang will remain the only player to appear in all eight matches in 2025. The first-year USMNT striker has four goals in his first seven appearances, including one on Sunday against Trinidad and Tobago.
  • Jack McGlynn collected his second career assist on Malik Tillman’s opener on Sunday. McGlynn’s four goal contributions (two goals, two assists) tie him with Agyemang (four goals) and Luna (four assists) for the team lead in goal contributions this year.
  • Sebastian Berhalter collects his third cap and second straight start tonight at Q2 Stadium where he played on loan with Austin FC in 2021.
  • After making two saves to collect his first career clean sheet, goalkeeper Matt Freese earns his second-straight start in his third overall appearance.
  • The youngest player on the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup roster, defender Alex Freeman earns his third start in four matches.
  • In accordance with the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup Tournament Regulations, teams are permitted to dress 23 players. The three players not dressed tonight are Chris Brady, Nathan Harriel and Haji Wright.
  • The USMNT is 3W-2L-2D in seven all-time meetings with Saudi Arabia. Tonight’s match marks the first meeting between the two nations in official competition since the USA’s 2-0 win in the FIFA Confederations Cup Third-Place Match on Aug. 3, 1999 in Guadalajara, Mexico.
  • Tonight’s match marks the eighth time the USMNT will face a guest team in the Concacaf Gold Cup. The USA is 4W-2L-1D against Gold Cup guest nations and 2W-0L-0D against guests from the Asian Football Confederation. The USA utilized goals from Landon Donovan and DaMarcus Beasley to defeat Korea Republic 2-1 in the group-stage opener on Jan. 19, 2002 and a late game-winner from Gyasi Zardes to defeat Qatar 1-0 in the semifinal on July 29, 2021.
