ATLANTA (April 21, 2025) – U.S. Women’s Futsal National Team head coach Diego Burato has selected his final 14-player roster for the 2025 Concacaf W Futsal Championship to be held April 28-May 4 at the Domo Polideportivo in Guatemala City, Guatemala. The two tournament finalists will qualify for the inaugural FIFA Women’s Futsal World Cup, set for November 21-December 7 in the Philippines.

“The team has dedicated significant effort to prepare for this moment, and our players are feeling both confident and motivated to represent the United States in the inaugural Concacaf W Futsal Championship,” Burato said. “The last two training camps have provided us with valuable opportunities to enhance our tactical approach. It is crucial for us to stay prepared for any challenges that may arise during the tournament and to be ready to make necessary adjustments. Reaching the championship game would not only fulfill a dream for us, but also mark a significant milestone for women's futsal in the United States. We are ready to make history.”

The squad headed to Guatemala features 12 players that took part in the Futsal WNT’s first-ever international matches at Costa Rica in February where the team earned 2-0 and 5-0 wins before playing to a 2-2 draw. Leading the list of returning players is Jeannette Fieldsend (Charlotte, N.C.), who scored four goals in the three matches against Las Ticas. She’s joined by fellow goalscorers Carlie Banks (Peachtree City, Ga.), Emanuelly Ferreira (Lowell, Mass.) and Sarah Martin (Bowie, Md.), as well as goalkeepers Ellie Goodrich (Alexandria, Va.) and Martha Lord (Bedford, N.H.), who combined for two shutouts in the three historic games.

The squad is rounded out by Ashley Henderson (Memphis, Tenn.) and Kiersen Korienek (Houghton, Mich.) two players who took part in their first Futsal WNT camp earlier this month in Rome, Ga.

As the team aims to qualify for the inaugural FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup this November in the Philippines, the USA will open the confederation championship against the winner of a Play-In match between Honduras and Nicaragua (April 29; 7 p.m. ET), before taking on Costa Rica (April 30; 7 p.m. ET) and finish group play against Canada (May 1; 7 p.m. ET). From there, the top two teams advance to the semifinals on May 3, with the winners qualifying for the Philippines and advancing to the final the following day.

Broadcast information for the inaugural Concacaf W Futsal Championship will be communicated at a later date.

Officially launched in 2022, the U.S. Futsal WNT began a year-and-a-half Talent Identification process the following year and held its first full National Team training camp last July. In preparation for the qualifying tournament, the Futsal WNT has held three camps in 2025, including the series of friendly matches against Costa Rica in late February and early March. The 2025 Concacaf Women’s Futsal Championship will mark the side’s first matches in official competition.
