NASSAU, Bahamas (March 16, 2025) – The U.S. Men’s Beach Soccer National Team used goals from Nico Perea, Antonio Chavez, Tanner Akol, Cody Valcarcel, Ricardo Carvalho and Gabe Silveira to earn a 6-2 win against Bahamas to earn third place at the 2025 Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship at Malcolm Park Beach Soccer Stadium on Saturday.

FIRST PERIOD

After a nervy bit of play through the first few minutes, Bahamas goalkeeper Michael Butler juggled forward and threaded an effort through traffic and past Austin Collier to give the hosts a 1-0 lead with 6:57 left in the first period.

The USA pulled level as Gabe Silveira threaded a ball to Perea on the right who fired home past Butler to equalize with 1:33 remaining in the first period.

SECOND PERIOD

The USA took the lead early in the second as Ricardo Carvalho’s throw-in found Chavez at the left post where he popped up a bicycle kick and finished past Butler just 45 seconds into the second period.

The USA grabbed another with just over two minutes remaining as Tanner Akol collected the ball at midfield and hit a blistering effort that clanged off the right post and over the line to give the Beach MNT a 3-1 lead with 2:19 remaining in the second.

After a foul just outside the penalty area, the USA grabbed another with 30 seconds left as Cody Valcarcel threaded his free kick attempt just inside the right post to give the USA a 4-1 lead heading into the third period.

THIRD PERIOD

The USA continued to pile goals on in the third as Gabe Silveira’s shot was well saved by Butler before Ricardo Carvalho hit home his third of the tournament with 5:15 remaining. A minute later, Silveira put one home off a feed from Nico Perea to make it 6-1.

Bahamas responded through Wood Julmis with just under four remaining, but it wasn’t enough as the USA saw out the match to earn third place in the 2025 Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship.
