HIRONO, Japan (Nov. 17, 2024) – Following a 6-1 win on Friday, the U.S. Women’s Deaf National Team utilized a hat trick of goals from Emily Spreeman, as well as a hat trick of assists from captain Gracie Fitzgerald to earn a decisive 7-0 victory against Japan to close out the two-game series between the teams in preparation for the 2025Tokyo Deaflympics.

After getting off the mark early on Friday, it took the USA 25 minutes to find the first goal as Paris Price set up Spreeman. Four minutes later, it was Fitzgerald finding the U.S. striker from a corner kick, before Price again set up Sophie Post to make it 3-0 in the 32nd. With halftime looming, Fitzgerald again found Spreeeman, who tallied her seventh career hat trick and took her total to 38 goals in 26 career caps.

After tallying in her debut on Friday, Ella Wylie scored her second in as many games in the 52nd minute. Tia LeBrecque, who also debuted in Friday’s match, collected her first international goal in the 56th minute, before Post bagged her second off another Fitzgerald assist in the 75th.

With the win, the U.S. Women’s Deaf National Team moves to 40W-0L-1D overall
