Ally Sentnor Scores as U.S. U-20 Women’s Youth National Team Defeats Colombia, 1-0, In Bogotá to Sweep Two-Game Series Against 2024 FIFA U-20 WWC Hosts

BOGOTÁ, Colombia (Feb. 28, 2024) – The U.S. Under-20 Women’s Youth National Team defeated Colombia, 1-0, on the 13^th minute goal from forward Ally Sentnor. The USA also defeated Colombia, 1-0, on Feb. 25 and swept the two-game series against the hosts of the 2024 FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup.

A key moment in the closed-door match came in the middle of the first half when U.S. goalkeeper Teagan Wy saved a penalty kick in the 22nd minute to keep the Americans up 1-0. The match saw five yellow cards, two to the USA and three to Colombia. Four of those cautions came in the first half.

The U.S. starting lineup featured four professional players in defender Savy King (Bay FC), midfielder Claire Hutton (Kansas City Current), midfielder Ally Lemos (Orlando Pride) and team captain Ally Sentnor (Utah Royals), who scored her sixth international goal at the U-20 level. Midfielder Riley Jackson (North Carolina Courage) came off the bench in the 57^th minute.
