It turned into yet another week in which many fans needed a calculator to keep up with all the scoring feats by U.S. Men's National Team players.

No less than eight players celebrated goals.

Let's take a look at a long list of those heroics:

Brenden Aaronson sparked Leeds United to a huge win. Josh Sargent struck for game-winners while scoring three times in back-to-back matches. Haji Wright bagged a brace and an assist. Jesús Ferreira remained in the MLS Golden Boot race. Jordan Pefok not only struck for a goal, but he also assisted on one as well.

And Matt Miazga, Jordan Morris and Gyasi Zardes also found the net.

THE SPARKPLUG

Two weeks ago Brenden Aaronson thought he had tallied his first goal for Leeds United, but it was eventually ruled an own goal. This week he made certain there was not going to be a change, connecting for the opening goal that sparked Leeds United's 3-0 home triumph over Chelsea in the English Premier League on Sunday.

Aaronson took advantage of a blunder by goalkeeper Edouard Mendy in the 33rd minute. The 21-year-old attacker rushed in on Mendy, who was taking his time clearing the ball out of his penalty area. Aaronson stole the ball and had an easy tap-in for his first goal this season.

Midfielder Tyler Adams made life difficult for Chelsea players in the middle of the pitch, whether he was knocking the ball away, stealing it or blocking passes.

Christian Pulisic came on in the 64th minute for Chelsea but could not find the net.

Aaronson, Adams and Pulisic became the first three USMNT players to compete in the same Premier League match since Everton's Tim Howard backstopped a 4-0 win over Stoke City's Geoff Cameron and Brek Shea on Nov. 30, 2013.

Directed by former USMNT player and assistant head coach Jesse Marsch, the newly promoted Leeds side improved to 2-0-1 and seven points, climbing into second place, while 12th-place Chelsea dropped to 1-1-1.

NOT JOSH-ING AROUND

Josh Sargent scored in back-to-back wins for Norwich City. He started the week with the opening goal in Norwich City's 2-1 home victory over Huddersfield Town in the English Championship on Tuesday, Aug. 16. He lifted the hosts into a 1-0 lead in the sixth minute, putting away a Danel Sinani feed.

Three days later on Friday, Aug. 19, Sargent did himself one better, connecting for both goals in a 2-0 home win over Millwall. He and Sinani teamed up again in the 50th minute before the 22-year-old striker found the net off a Kieran Dowell feed on a counterattack in the 75th minute.

A GOAL-SCORER AND A PLAYMAKER

Jordan Pefok tallied a goal and an assist in a 2-1 home victory over RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

After taking a Sheraldo Becker pass, Pefok scored under pressure. In the 32nd minute. He returned the favor by setting up Becker for a 2-0 advantage in the 38th minute.

Pefok has three goals and an assist in his first four appearances across all competitions for Union Berlin. The club (2-0-1; 7pts.) sits third after three weeks of the Bundesliga campaign.

WRIGHT ON TARGET

Haji Wright continued his strong start to the Turkish Super Lig season, striking twice and assisting on another goal in Antalyaspor's 5-2 win over defending champion Trabzonspor on Saturday.

Wright started his day in the 40th minute, converting a penalty kick for a 2-0 advantage. After Trabzonspor knotted things up at 2-2, the striker set up Gökdeniz Bayrakdar for the winning goal in the 81st minute.

Wright finished his day by beating two defenders in the box eight minutes into second-half stoppage time. Wright has three goals in as many matches this season.

STILL ON FIRE

Jesús Ferreira moved into a tie for second place in the MLS Golden Boot race by scoring the lone goal in FC Dallas' 1-0 victory over Eastern Conference leaders Philadelphia Union on Wednesday, Aug. 17.

The 21-year-old striker tallied his 15th goal in the 34th minute, teaming up with USMNT teammates Paul Arriola and Sebastian Lletget. He took an Arriola feed and beat center Jakob Glesnes on the dribble before depositing the ball past goalkeeper Andre Blake.

Ferreira joined FC Cincinnati’s Brandon Vazquez as the first U.S.-eligible forwards to reach 15 goals in a season since 2017.

ON THE REBOUND

In a high-scoring affair, Jordan Morris tallied his team-high seventh goal of the campaign in the Seattle Sounders' 3-3 draw with the LA Galaxy in Carson, Calif. on Friday, Aug. 19.

Morris gave the visitors a 3-2 edge in the 73rd minute. Nicolas Loderio started the scoring sequence with a right-wing cross to defender Yeimar Gómez Andrade. Andrade's header was saved goalkeeper Jonathan Bond, but Morris cleaned up the rebound.

IN DEFEAT

Gyasi Zardes helped the Colorado Rapids avoid a shutout to the Vancouver Whitecaps, connecting in the 76th minute of a 2-1 defeat on Wednesday, Aug. 17. Zardes pounced on a spilled Jonathan Lewis shot.

He has eight goals this MLS season, seven with Colorado, one with the Columbus Crew.

FOR THE DEFENSE

Center back Matt Miazga scored his first goal since joining FC Cincinnati earlier this month, lifting the side to a 1-1 draw against his former team, the host New York Red Bulls, on Saturday, Aug. 20.

Miazga gave Cincy into the lead in the 13th minute when he headed home Alvaro Barreal’s free kick past keeper Carlos Coronel into the lower right corner.

HELPING OUT

Defender Shaq Moore recorded his first MLS assist in Nashville SC's 4-0 home win over FC Dallas on Sunday. CJ Sapong redirected Moore's pass in the penalty area to Hany Mukhtar, who tallied the first goal five minutes after kickoff.

Kellyn Acosta assisted on LAFC’s lone goal in its 2-1 defeat at the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday. He set up Mahala Opoku's 54th-minute score. Despite the loss, the Western Conference leaders became the first team to qualify for the MLS Cup Playoffs with nine games to spare.

GIO RETURNS

In his first Bundesliga match in a little more than four months, Gio Reyna came on as a 62nd-minute substitute for Borussia Dortmund in its 3-2 home loss to Werder Bremen on Saturday, Aug. 20.

Reyna, who missed most of last season with hamstring injuries, last played in the league on April 8.
