Mitrović Calls 23 Players To U-19 MYNT Training Camp In Carson, Calif.

U-19 MYNT Will Gather from July 25-Aug. 2 at Dignity Health Sports Park for Mitrović’s Third Training Camp in Charge

CHICAGO (July 22, 2022) – U.S. Under-19 Men’s Youth National Team head coach Marko Mitrović has called up 23 players for a training camp at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif. The team will gather from July 25-Aug. 2 in Southern California.

Players born on or after Jan. 1, 2004 are age-eligible for the 2022-23 U-19 MYNT cycle. Three players called into the training camp were born in 2004 and 20 were born in 2005.

 

U-19 MYNT ROSTER BY POSITION - JULY/AUGUST TRAINING CAMP

 

GOALKEEPERS (2): Gavin Beavers (Real Salt Lake), Charles DeMarco (BW Gotschee), Dominic Pereira (Orlando City SC)

 

DEFENDERS (7): Tyler Bindon (LAFC), Anthony Gonzalez (Austin FC), Drew Murray (San Jose Earthquakes), Nolan Norris (FC Dallas), Mateo Pinilla (Houston Dynamo FC), Justin Reynolds (Chicago Fire FC), Santiago Suarez (Sacramento Republic FC)

 

MIDFIELDERS (7): Esmir Bajraktarevic (New England Revolution), Noel Buck (New England Revolution), Juan Castilla (Houston Dynamo FC), Benjamin Cremaschi (Inter Miami CF), Bryan Moyado (LAFC), Jack Panayotou (New England Revolution), Brooklyn Raines (Houston Dynamo FC)

 

FORWARDS (6): Reed Baker-Whiting (Seattle Sounders FC), Luke Brennan (Atlanta United FC), Favian Loyola (Orlando City SC), Sergio Oregel Jr. (Chicago Fire FC), Ethan Subachan (Orlando City SC), Marcos Zambrano (Philadelphia Union)

 

All 20 players called to Carson are also age-eligible for the U-20 MYNT, which just qualified for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia and the 2024 Olympics in Paris with its performance at the 2022 Concacaf U-20 Championship in Honduras. The players born in 2005 are also age-eligible for the 2024-25 U-20 World Cup cycle.

 

Seven players have been a part of all three U-19 training camps, while eight are making their first appearance with the U-19 MYNT: goalkeepers Charles DeMarco and Dominic Pereira, defenders Anthony Gonzalez, Drew Murray and Santiago Suarez, midfielders Noel Buck and  Jack Panayotou plus forward Luke Brennan.

 

All 23 players are based domestically, with 21 at Major League Soccer clubs. Three players each come from Houston Dynamo FC, the New England Revolution and Orlando City SC. The two non-MLS players are DeMarco at New York youth club BW Gottschee and Suarez at the USL Championship’s Sacramento Republic.
