The U.S. Men’s National Team’s summer schedule took full shape on Thursday as Concacaf announced the dates and venue locations for the 2021 Gold Cup.
Going for its seventh confederation championship this summer, the USMNT will be based in Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kan., for the entire group stage from July 11-18.
With Concacaf holding a preliminary “play-in” tournament prior to the competition proper, the USMNT will open July 11 against one of Barbados, Bermuda, Haiti or St. Vincent and the Grenadines, take on Martinique on July 15, and round out the group stage against Canada on July 18.
The top two teams from Group B will advance and cross over with the top two finishers from Group C (Costa Rica, Jamaica, Suriname, Prelims Winner 8) for the quarterfinals on July 25 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The brand new Q2 Stadium in Austin and NRG Stadium in Houston will host semifinals matches on July 29, though the USMNT’s potential venue will not be known until the completion of the group stage.
The 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup Final will be played on Aug. 1 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
