CHICAGO (April 1, 2019) – All U.S. Soccer fans are invited to attend the U.S. Women’s National Team public training session to be held on Saturday, April 6, at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles from 5-6 p.m. The Northwest Gate will open at 4:30 p.m. and admission is free. Parking is available in Lot 6 for $15.

This will be the USA’s only public training session before departing for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France and comes the day before the U.S. WNT faces Belgium on April 7 (6 p.m. PT on ESPN2) at Banc of California Stadium.

U.S. Soccer Members and Circle members will receive an email with details to electronically RSVP ahead of the training. All other fans wishing to attend can enter at the Northwest Gate.

TICKETS

Tickets for the USA vs. Belgium match are on sale through ussoccer.com. Groups of 20 or more can submit an online order form at ussoccer.com. Coaches Circle and Presidents Circle members supporting the U.S. Soccer Development Fund can receive individual customer support and concierge services for their ticketing needs. Contact circles@ussoccer.org for more information. Tickets will also be on sale at the open training at the box office starting at 4 p.m. and ending at 6 p.m.

The match at Banc of California Stadium, which opened in April of 2018, will be the first for the U.S. WNT at the home of Major League Soccer’s Los Angeles Football Club, but it will be the USA’s 32nd game in Southern California.

USA VS. BELGIUM

The match vs. Belgium is the USA’s seventh on its “Countdown to the Cup,” a 10-game series leading into the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Following the match, the USA will have only its three-game “Send-Off Series” in May remaining before departing for France.

The meeting with Belgium, another fast-improving European nation, will be the first between the teams and will mark the 54th opponent for the USA in its history. Belgium finished second in UEFA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Group 6, two points behind Italy, and earned a playoff berth but fell to Switzerland in the two-leg semifinal playoff. The series was tied 3-3 on aggregate, but Switzerland went through on away goals.

HOMETOWN HEROES

The match against Belgium brings forwards Alex Morgan (Diamond Bar) and Christen Press (Palos Verdes Estates), and midfielder McCall Zerboni (San Clemente) back to Southern California. Defender Abby Dalhkemper and midfielders Samantha Mewis and Zerboni played collegiately at UCLA.

HANG OUT WITH VOLKSWAGEN BEFORE TRAINING
