CHICAGO (May 17, 2019) – The Under-17 Women’s National Team will travel to the Czech Republic for a four-team UEFA Development Tournament that also features the Republic of Ireland, Belgium and the hosts.

The U-17s WNT recently swept three games at a UEFA Development Tournament in Portugal, but this trip will feature an entirely different roster and opponents. The squad will still be coached by Tracey Kevins, who led the team to the three victories in Portugal.

The USA will open against the Czech Republic on May 21, face Ireland on May 23 and finish with Belgium on May 25. Kevins brought a 20-player roster with all the players born in 2003, which is the birth cut off year for the 2020 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

To underline the development nature of the tournaments, each player must play at least 80 minutes

across the three matches and UEFA recommends that each player should play no more than 120 minutes over two consecutive games.
