Since 1914, the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup has served as the national championship of American soccer. The tournament has produced an American soccer-football champion every year since it's inception, with the exception of a two-year pause caused by the onset of COVID-19.
It’s a single-elimination tournament with an open format and it showcases all levels of the American game.
