U.S. Soccer Launches Free Resource Hub to Educate and Provide

The mission of Soccer Forward is all about soccer everywhere for everyone – and that goes beyond a ball and a goal. Making sure everyone has access to the world’s most beautiful game requires investment in several key areas including people, programs and places.

To make sure everyone is well-equipped, U.S. Soccer has launched a Resource Hub as part of the Soccer Forward campaign. This user-friendly hub is a rich collection of information meant to guide you wherever you are in your soccer journey. All the resources are free to learn from, adapt and implement in your community.

The hub includes a thorough, informative bank of tools and guides gathered from around the soccer community. Here are just a few examples of the type of resources you'll find:

  1. Inspiring case studies like an evaluation by Palo Alto University that shows the positive impact of soccer on young girls.
  2. Insightful and fact-based data that proves the benefits of community-driven sport spaces, showing why and how developing places to play can impact local communities in a positive way.
  3. Robust program models such as Get on the Bus, a soccer initiative that now exists in 10 states. Get on the Bus works to overcome two key barriers to participation in soccer – cost and transportation.
  4. Training resources such as assessments that help coaches create good habits and checklists to equip parents on how to best guide their young athletes.
  5. Encouraging directions for teens and coaches on how to support mental health and push for equity in school sports.
  6. Useful information on federal grants that can fund your efforts to build athletic fields or facility improvements in local areas.

In addition to the list of resources, the hub also features in-depth toolkits. These detailed setups were developed by Soccer Forward in partnership with experts from the soccer community, to provide comprehensive support in areas that are important to the game.

These resources are just the beginning. The resource hub brings in the latest information that can transform your approach as we work together to continue to grow the sport.

And just like soccer is a team sport, so is the resource hub. If you’d like to submit tools, models, lessons or other resources to share with others, click here to share and tell us more.
