Nashville SC and Austin FC will battle in the 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Final on Wednesday at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas.

There will be a first-time champion in the country's oldest soccer tournament, no matter who raises the trophy. Nashville and Austin will compete in their first Open Cup Final match; reaching the semifinals was a milestone for both clubs as well.
Nashville topped Chattanooga Red Wolves SC (USL1), Orlando City (MLS), D.C. United (MLS) and Philadelphia Union (MLS) to reach the final. Meanwhile, Austin FC had a dramatic journey to the championship game after a comeback against El Paso Locomotive (USL Championship), a win over Houston Dynamo (MLS), a penalty shootout against San Jose Earthquakes (MLS) and finally a last-minute win in extra time against Minnesota United FC (MLS).
