ALAJUELA, Costa Rica (Aug. 10, 2025) – After navigating to the top of Group B and earning a dramatic shootout victory against Panama in the semifinal, the U.S. Under-15 Boys’ National Team put in a strong effort but ultimately fell 5-0 to Mexico in the 2025 Concacaf Boys U-15 Championship Final on Sunday.
Following even play through the first quarter-hour, Mexico began to put its stamp on the match and first broke through via a goal from Juan Carlos Martinez Jr. In the 16th minute. That strike was the first of a four-goal barrage over seven minutes, with El Trí tallying through Paxton Ruffin (20th minute) and Davian Kimbrough (22nd minute), before Martinez Jr. added a second goal in the 23rd minute to take Mexico into the half with a 4-0 lead.
