ATLANTA (August 27, 2025) - U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team head coach Gonzalo Segares has called up 21 players for the team’s international training camp to be held from Sept. 1-8 in Noordwijk, Netherlands.

The camp is part of the Federation’s continued focus on the U.S. Way philosophy, which emphasizes increased programming for Youth National Teams to create more opportunities for young players to advance through the pathway to the senior National Team with the goal of representing their country at a world championship.

In the team’s second-to-last gathering before heading to the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar, Segares will guide the U-17 MNT in a pair of friendly matches against the Netherlands on Sept. 5and Sept. 8 at GemeentelijkSportpark SJC in Noordwijk, Netherlands. Both matches will kick off at 7 p.m. local time (1 p.m. ET).

All players are born after Jan. 1, 2008, and are age-eligible for this fall’s FIFA U-17 World Cup, where the USA will face Burkina Faso (Nov. 5), Tajikistan (Nov. 8) and Czechia (Nov. 11) in Group I.

The roster features 16 players from 10different Major League Soccer clubs. The LA Galaxy and Philadelphia Union lead the way with three players each, followed by New York Red Bulls and Real Salt Lake with two selections each, while Atlanta United, Charlotte, Columbus Crew, LAFC, New York City FC and Sporting Kansas City round out the roster with one selection apiece.

Three players come from European clubs: forward Mathis Albert (Borussia Dortmund), goalkeeper William Lomdell (Sporting Lisbon) and defender Oliver Tan (FC Famalicao).

USL Championship clubs Birmingham Legion and Orange County SC are also represented on the squad headed to the Netherlands.

Following this month’s matches, the U-17 MNT will meet once more during the October FIFA window before Segares names his roster for Qatar.
