CHICAGO (Jan. 15, 2025) – U.S. Soccer has announced that forward Jesús Ferreira and defenders Jalen Neal and John Tolkin have departed U.S. Men’s National Team training camp in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. A decision on whether to bring replacements will be made in the coming days.

With players returning from the winter break, the coaching staff has taken a cautious approach. After an initial medical and physical evaluation, Ferreira was provided an individual training program and will now join Seattle Sounders FC so he can focus on returning to full fitness. Neal is experiencing a minor issue and will travel to meet his new club CF Montréal at their preseason training camp in Tampa, Fla. Tolkin was given permission to depart camp for personal reasons.

The USMNT opens its 2025 schedule against 2024 Copa America quarterfinalist Venezuela on Jan. 18 at Chase Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale. Kickoff for the USA’s first match of the year is set for 3 p.m. ET. [TICKETS] The match will be broadcast live on TNT, Telemundo, Universo, Max and Peacock, with Spanish-language audio available on Fútbol de Primera radio.

The team will then head to Orlando and complete the two-match Florida swing with a friendly against Costa Rica on Jan. 22 at Inter&Co Stadium. Kickoff from the home of Orlando City SC and NWSL champion Orlando Pride is 7 p.m. ET. [TICKETS]. TNT, truTV, Universo, Max and Peacock will show the match live, with Spanish-language audio provided by Fútbol de Primera radio.

Fans will be able to follow the match via Twitter @USMNT, Instagram @USMNT, Facebook and The Official U.S. Soccer App.
