CHICAGO (Aug. 5, 2024) – The U.S. Women’s National Team will return to Louisville, Kentucky for the first time since 2004 when it faces Argentina on Wednesday, Oct. 30 in a match presented by Jim Beam at Lynn Family Stadium (7 p.m. ET on TNT, Universo, truTV, Max & Peacock), the home of Racing Louisville of the National Women’s Soccer League.

Prior to traveling to Kentucky, the USA will play two previously announced matches against Iceland, on Thursday, Oct. 24 at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas (7:30 p.m. ET / 6:30 p.m. CT on TBS, Max, Universo and Peacock) and on Sunday, Oct. 27 at GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tenn. presented by AT&T (5:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. CT on TNT, truTV, Max, Universo and Peacock).

The match at Lynn Family Stadium will be the first for the U.S. Women in Louisville, home of the world’s #1 bourbon, in 20 years with the previous four games taking place at University of Louisville’s Cardinal Stadium between 1999-2004, the first of those being one of the victory celebration matches after the USA won the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

This time around, the experience in the Derby City will be an entirely different one for the USWNT as it gets to play at the soccer-specific venue that will seat just over 15,000 fans for the match. The stadium opened in 2020 as a home for Louisville City of the USL Championship and has served as home to Racing Louisville since 2021.

Argentina did not qualify for the 2024 Olympics but put in an admirable performance at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Although La Albiceleste failed to advance out of group play, they lost just 1-0 to Italy, drew South Africa 2-2 and fell to Sweden, 2-0.

The USA has faced Argentina four times in its history, but the teams have not met since February of 2021 in a 6-0 win in Orlando, Fla., at the SheBelieves Cup as the soccer world emerged from the global pandemic.
