Among the U.S. Men's National Team highlights last week were Cameron Carter-Vickers and Alejandro Zendejas, who took home winners medals with their respective clubs, while Tanner Tessmann and Gianluca Busio kept their hopes up for a promotion.

Domestically, Timmy Tillman sparked Los Angeles FC to a U.S. Open Cup victory, while Kellyn Acosta and Jordan Morris scored for their MLS teams.

Also on the scoresheet were Christian Pulisic and Djordje Mihailovic, who assisted on goals for their sides in a pair of wild 3-3 draws.

DOUBLE DIGITS

Christian Pulisic, who is a finalist for Italy Serie A midfielder of the year, closed out his 2023-24 account with AC Milan, setting up the third goal in a 3-3 home draw vs. last-place Salernitana in its season finale on Saturday, May 25. He finished the campaign with 15 goals and 10 assists across all competitions. Pulisic's left-wing cross set up Davide Calabria's goal that boosted the hosts into a 3-1 advantage in the 77th minute. Salernitana (2-25-11, 17), which will be demoted to Serie B, spoiled second-place Milan's (22-7-9, 75) party with goals in the 87th and 89th minutes. Midfielder Yunus Musah dressed but did not play for Milan.

DOUBLING HIS PLEASURE

Defender Cameron Carter-Vickers and Celtic won their second title of the year as the Glasgow side bested archrival Rangers in the Scottish Cup final, 1-0 at Hampden Park on Saturday, May 25. Carter-Vickers played the full 90 minutes for Celtic, which clinched the Scottish Premiership earlier this month.

CLAUSURA CHAMPS

Alejandro Zendejas and Club América clinched the Mexican Clausura title, winning the final series over Cruz Azul, 2-1. They recorded a 1-0 home win on Sunday, May 26 as the midfielder played the entire way. It was América's second consecutive crown and 15th overall.

ONE MORE STEP

Tanner Tessmann, Gianluca Busio and their Venezia teammates will try to take the final step in their promotion quest to Italy's Serie A in the Serie B playoffs this week. Venezia will visit Cremonese on Thursday, May 30 and welcome its rivals on Sunday, June 2 in the two-leg series. In the second leg of the semifinal series, Tessmann scored the opening goal in a 2-1 home win over Palermo on Friday, May 24. He put away Nicholas Pierini's feed in the fourth minute. Venezia recorded a 1-0 victory at Palmero on Monday, May 20. Palermo's Kristoffer Lund will remain in Serie B.

UP FOR THE CUP

Midfielder Timmy Tillman celebrated being called into the USMNT for its June training camp by scoring the first goal, sparking the hosts to a 3-0 home win over Loudoun United (USL Championship) in a Round of 16 of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup win at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif. on Tuesday, May 21. After having a shot blocked by a defender in the eighth minute, Tillman gave LAFC all the scoring it needed seconds later as he converted a right-wing feed from Cristian Olivera past goalkeeper Dane Jacomen. LAFC will host New Mexico United (USL Championship) in a quarterfinal match at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on Wednesday, July 10 at 11 p.m. ET.

THE EQUALIZER

Midfielder Kellyn Acosta connected for his second goal of the MLS season in the Chicago Fire's 1-1 draw at D.C. United on Saturday, May 25. After a nice build-up, Acosta tallied the equalizer in the 53rd minute. Left back Andrew Gutman sent in a cross from the left flank to Acosta, who tapped the ball to Hugo Cuypers at the top of the penalty area. Cuypers sent the ball back to Acosta, who drove a 19-yard shot past goalkeeper Alex Bono.

GAME-WINNER

Forward Jordan Morris scored for what proved to be the winning goal in the Seattle Sounders' 2-1 away triumph at St. Louis CITY on Saturday, May 25. With his team leading 1-0, Morris struck for his third goal of the MLS campaign in the 69th minute. Morris latched onto an Albert Rusnak through ball and beat keeper Roman Burki in the 69th minute for his third goal of the season.

A HELPER

Djordje Mihailovic recorded his sixth assist of the season, helping the Colorado Rapids to a 3-3 home draw with Minnesota United on Saturday, May 25. In the 62nd minute, Mihailovic sent his corner kick to Rafael Navarro at the near left post. Navarro then headed the ball past goalie Dayne St. Clair to pull Colorado within 3-2.
