NEXT GEN SOCCER STARS ALYSSA AND GISELE THOMPSON TO REPRESENT BODYARMOR SPORTWATER STARTING IN 2024

WHITESTONE, N.Y. (March 6, 2024) – BODYARMOR was announced today as the Official Hydration Partner of the U.S. Soccer Federation (U.S. Soccer). To support the new partnership, BODYARMOR is also teaming up with up-and-coming U.S. Soccer stars and sister duo Alyssa and Gisele Thompson as they prepare for an exciting year ahead.

As part of BODYARMOR’s agreement with U.S. Soccer, the brand will hydrate all U.S. Soccer players – including the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams – with its BODYARMOR SportWater products on sidelines at matches and practices, and off-the-field in locker rooms and training facilities.

“We’re thrilled to add BODYARMOR to the U.S. Soccer family during such a pivotal time for the sport in our country,” said U.S. Soccer Vice President of Partnership Development Dan Gaiman. “Their commitment to growing the game aligns perfectly with the Federation’s strategic pillars and further enhances our broader partnership with Coca-Cola.”

Additionally, BODYARMOR’s logo and branding will be featured on equipment including coolers, cups, squirt bottles and towels on U.S. Soccer sidelines and tournaments beginning in 2024. BODYARMOR and U.S. Soccer will also collaborate on exclusive custom content and key media integrations featuring top players – including longstanding BODYARMOR partner, Alex Morgan, as well as newcomers Alyssa and Gisele Thompson.

Alyssa, 19, and Gisele, 18, recently became the youngest sister duo to play together when Gisele joined Alyssa on their Los Angeles-based soccer team. Alyssa Thompson also made history last year in the World Cup as the 2nd-youngest player to compete in the tournament in USWNT history.

“It’s encouraging to receive support from BODYARMOR early in our careers given their commitment to the future of the sport and the new generation of athletes,” said Alyssa Thompson. “Seeing the foundation the brand has in soccer, and having role models like Alex Morgan on their roster, makes us proud to join Team BODYARMOR.”

The new, wide-ranging partnership further builds upon BODYARMOR’s existing commitment to the larger soccer community. Since 2019, BODYARMOR has been the Official Sports Drink of Major League Soccer – and in 2022, BODYARMOR announced a long-term partnership with U.S. Soccer superstar, Alex Morgan.

“The U.S. Soccer Federation is the gold-standard for the sport, and we couldn’t be more excited to partner with them during a pivotal time for the BODYARMOR and for soccer in the US,” said Tom Gargiulo, CMO of BODYARMOR Sports Nutrition. “As a go-to option for those in need of hydration, we’re proud to be able to provide better-for-you options to the next generation of American soccer stars both on and off the pitch.”
BODYARMOR has been disrupting the world of sports hydration for over a decade by offering superior hydration through premium products. The partnership with U.S. Soccer comes on the heels of an exciting start to 2024, as the BODYARMOR continues to innovate and find new ways to reach consumers across a variety of hydration occasions.
