- After becoming the 857th player to debut for the U.S. Men’s National Team on Saturday, left back Kristoffer Lund earns his first start tonight. Lund is the second Danish-born player to represent the USMNT, following Svend Engvedal who earned three caps from 1956-1957.
- Malik Tillman also earns his first career start tonight in his sixth cap. Tillman drew the penalty kick that was converted by Christian Pulisic deep in second half stoppage time on Saturday in the 3-0 win against Uzbekistan.
- Goalkeeper Ethan Horvath earns his ninth cap and first appearance since the 1-1 draw at El Salvador in Concacaf Nations League play on June 14, 2022.
- Chris Richards and Miles Robinson partner in central defense for the fourth time tonight. They last paired together in the 3-0 win against Mexico in the Concacaf Nations League semifinal on June 15 in Las Vegas.
- Christian Pulisic captains the USMNT for the 17th time tonight. The USA is 12-1-3 in matches where Pulisic wears the armband, with the team riding a 15-match unbeaten streak when Pulisic is captain. The only loss came in his first captaincy, a 1-0 defeat to Italy on Nov. 20, 2018 in Genk, Belgium.
- With his next goal or assist, Pulisic (40 G+A; 26 goals, 14 assists) will move into sole possession of fifth on the USMNT’s all-time goal contributions leaderboard. Pulisic’s stoppage-time penalty kick on Saturday tied him with Michael Bradley (17 goals, 23 assists) and Brian McBride (30 goals, 10 assists) with 40 career goal contributions.

- Four starters appeared in the USMNT’s last match at Allianz Field, a 3-0 win against Honduras in World Cup qualifying on Feb. 2, 2022. Weston McKennie joined substitute Christian Pulisic in bagging two of the game’s three goals, while Miles Robinson and Tim Weah also started the match.
- Three substitutes could make their international debuts: goalkeeper Drake Callender, midfielder Ben Cremaschi and forward Kevin Paredes. A total of 57 players have debuted in Gregg Berhalter’s 61 matches as USMNT head coach, third most after Bruce Arena (89 debuts in 148 matches) and Bob Bradley (60 debuts in 80 matches)
- Gregg Berhalter holds a 38-11-12 record in 61 matches as USMNT head coach and holds both the highest winning percentage (.786) and highest unbeaten percentage (.820) of any manager that has coached eight or more matches.
- Berhalter is also 3-1-1 against opposition from the Asian Football Confederation.
- This is the first meeting between the USMNT and Oman. The Reds are the USMNT’s 102nd all-time international opponent and 11th different team from the Asian Football Confederation

- Mario Escobar of Guatemala is the referee for tonight’s match. The USMNT is 2-1-1 in matches officiated by Mr. Escobar, with both wins coming earlier this year in the 1-0 victory against El Salvador in Concacaf Nations League play on March 27 in Orlando and 6-0 win against Trinidad and Tobago in the Concacaf Gold Cup on July 2 in Charlotte. Mr. Escobar also previously officiated the 1-0 defeat to Mexico in the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup Final and the 0-0 draw with El Trí in World Cup qualifying on March 24, 2022 in Mexico City.
- Players on the USMNT donated 120 tickets for tonight’s match to The Sanneh Foundation, a local community-service non-profit organization run by 2002 World Cup defender Tony Sanneh.
- In U.S. Soccer’s continuing mission to celebrate the game in all of its forms, prior to kick off tonight the Federation will recognize five of the eight members of the U.S. Power Soccer National Team that will take part in the 2023 FIPFA Powerchair Football World Cup next month in Sydney, Australia.
