CHICAGO (May 18, 2023) – U.S. Soccer will hold the Under-14 Talent ID National Camp in Chula Vista, Calif., from May 22-27.

The camp will feature 36 players selected from the total of 224 players who attended the U-14 Talent ID Mini Regional Camps conducted in the West, Central and East regions.

U.S. Soccer's Director of Girls’ Talent Identification Mirelle Van Rijbroek will lead that camp with the assistance of the U.S. Soccer Talent ID Managers Marieke Laurens (West), Lindsay Basalyga (North), Katie Cole (South) and Diane Drake (East). New U-15 W-YNT Ciara Crinion will also be at the camp to evaluate the next pool of U.S. U-15 WYNT players.

The 36 players will be divided into two teams of 18 and will scrimmage each other twice. The objectives for the U-14 Talend ID National Camp are to create a safe and challenging learning environment that is supportive and inspirational while accelerating player development. Players are introduced to the culture of the U.S. National Team, the style of play and principles. Players will also be educated about their performance behaviors, on and off the field, and of course be evaluated for call-ups to future age groups.

U.S. UNDER-14 TALENT ID NATIONAL CAMP ROSTER BY POSITION:

Goalkeepers (4): Anne Fowler (Chicago FC United), Molly McBride (San Juan SC), Ella McNeal (St. Louis Scott Gallagher), Caelyn Moore (Houston Dash Youth)

Defenders (12): Livia Abboud-Young (Minnesota Thunder), Meila Brewer (Kansas City Athletics), Delaney Fraser (Lamorinda SC), Alexandra Han (D'Feeters Kicks SC), Savannah Jackson (So Cal Blues SC), Bristol Kersh (TopHat SC), Mehr Khera (Bay Area Surf SC), Lolli Mirhashemi (San Diego Surf SC), Maryn Pratt (Arizona Arsenal SC), Olivia Rae Roth (Virginia Development Academy), Jorden Swain (San Diego Surf SC), Eleanor Wiseman (Lonestar SC)

Midfielders (10): Emersen Andries (D'Feeters Kicks SC), Lily Blosser (FC Stars), Kendall Conway (Lamorinda SC), Mia Corona (Legends FC), Jordyn Heathcock (Oklahoma Energy FC), Khari Hontz (Kansas City Athletics), Abigail Salgado (Internationals SC), Ella Stanislaus (PDA), Caroline Swann (D'Feeters Kicks SC), Ixchel Uscanga (Rebels SC)

Forwards (10): Giselle Aguilar (Solar SC), Madeline Dimaria (St. Louis Scott Gallagher), Louise Guidugli (Kings Hammer FC), Anna Korney (Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC), Delia Loughnane (South Shore Select), Miliani Makasini (Bay Area Surf SC), Amari Manning (PDA), Taylor Morrell (The St. James FC Virginia), Felicity Nguyen (So Cal Blues SC), Carolina Reyna (Lonestar SC)

The U-14 Talent ID Program is designed to discover and introduce a larger base of top talents at the U-14 age group into the scouting funnel for the older U-15 to U-20 WYNTs. The program helps to evaluate and inspire high-potential players while accelerating their development in an engaging and challenging environment.

In addition to expanding the YNT player pool at its early stages, the scouting and identification structure gives U-14 players more opportunities to absorb core principles of the YNT philosophy to further their development. The program also bolsters U.S. Soccer’s national network of scouts, advancing their education and development while also building the Federation’s connections with clubs across the country.
