- Weston McKennie returns to the starting lineup for the first time since the 3-0 WCQ win against Honduras on Feb. 2, 2022. He made his first substitute appearance for the USA on Wednesday against Morocco, snapping his streak of 31 consecutive starts – the longest since Eddie Pope made 82 consecutive starts from 1996-2006 - and seventh longest in team history.
- Sean Johnson earns his 10th cap this afternoon, becoming the 14th goalkeeper in USMNT history to hit double-digit appearances. The veteran goalkeeper last played in the 1-0 win against Costa Rica on Feb. 1, 2020. Johnson has conceded just one goal in his previous nine appearances, coming in his very first cap, a 1-1 draw with Chile on Jan. 22, 2011 in Carson, Calif.
- Nineteen-year-old defender Joe Scally is tapped for his first senior team start today after making his USMNT debut in Wednesday’s win against Morocco
- Christian Pulisic will make his 50th appearance for the USMNT today against Uruguay. Pulisic (23.71) is the seventh youngest player to hit the half century mark, with a majority of players that got there before him either having played for the National Team full time during the early 1990s or played in Major League Soccer to start their careers.

- With 21 goals at the half-century mark, Pulisic is already ahead of all USMNT players at this point their career, while his 10 assists tie him Landon Donovan and place them behind only Tab Ramos and Eddie Lewis (13 assists) at this point in their international careers.
- Weston McKennie, Yunus Musah and Tyler Adams will work the midfield together for the eight time and first since Jan. 30 at Canada. The USMNT is 5-1-1 when the “MMA Midfield” starts together.
- The forward line of Tim Weah, Jesús Ferreira and Christian Pulisic starts together for a second-straight match and third contest overall. The trio first worked together during the USA’s 1-0 win against El Salvador on Jan. 27 in Columbus.
- Aaron Long and Walker Zimmerman pair in central defense for the second-straight match and ninth time overall. The USMNT is 7-1-0 when they partner on the back line.
- Veteran defender DeAndre Yedlin makes his 74th appearance, moving past Hugo Pérez into sole possession of 32nd on the USMNT’s all-time caps list.
- Tyler Adams captains the USMNT for the ninth time today. The USA is 7-1-1 when Adams wears the armband.
- With teams limited to dressing 23 players, goalkeeper Matt Turner, defender George Bello and midfielder Cristian Roldan are healthy scratches from today’s matchday squad. Teams are allowed to make six substitutions during today’s friendly.
- The U.S. team is wearing orange armbands the team will wear orange armbands in support of Wear Orange Weekend, a national movement championed by everytown.org to raise awareness against gun violence which began in 2013 following the killing of Hadiya Pendleton on a playground in Chicago.
- The USA is 2-3-3 all-time against Uruguay. The teams last played to a 1-1 draw on Sept. 10, 2019 in St. Louis. Substitute Jordan Morris scored the equalizer for the USA in that match.
- The USMNT is 8-0-1 all-time at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City. Last summer, the USA went a perfect 3-0-0 at the venue, kicking off its successful run to the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup title with group stage wins against Haiti (1-0), Martinique (6-1) and Canada (1-0).
