In his first start since returning from World Cup Qualifying, Jesûs Ferreira continued to prove he has the magic touch for FC Dallas on Saturday, April 9.

The U.S. Men's National Team forward tallied twice in the second half to help Dallas to a 3-1 comeback win at home against the Colorado Rapids.

With the score knotted up at 1-1 in the 51st minute, Marco Farfan set up Ferreira, who found some space before drilling a right-footed shot from the edge of the penalty area past goalkeeper William Yarbrough.

Ferreira added an insurance goal in the 89th minute as he ran onto Brandon Servania's through ball before dribbling past Yarbrough.

He has five goals and an assist in his last two starts for Dallas, including a hat-trick in a 4-1 victory over the Portland Timbers on March 19.

PLAYING LIKE CHAMPIONS

Forward Jordan Morris and midfielder Cristian Roldan continued their hot play in the Concacaf Champions League. Morris assisted on the first goal and scored the game-winner, which was set up by Roldan in the Seattle Sounders' 3-1 win over New York City FC in the first leg of their semifinal series at Lumen Field in Seattle on Wednesday, April 6.

Roldan, who was not awarded an assist on this tally, started the scoring sequence on Seattle's opening goal as he played a ball into Morris from outside the box. Morris then fed Albert Rusnak, who beat goalkeeper Sean Johnson in the 16th minute.

After NYCFC equalized in the 27th minute, Morris lifted the hosts into the lead to stay in the 34th minute. Roldan crossed the ball into the middle of the penalty area to an onrushing Morris, who fired his shot into the top corner of the net.

Morris has three CCL goals and four across all competitions, while Roldan registered his CCL-best fifth assist.

The teams will meet in the second leg at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J. on Wednesday, April 13.

IN A FAMILIAR PLACE

Jordan Pefok returned to the scoring column for the first time in almost a month as he converted a 52nd-minute penalty kick in Young Boys' 2-2 draw with Lausanne in the Swiss Super League on Saturday.

The forward has collected 23 goals across all competitions. He last celebrated a goal in a 2-2 tie at Lausanne on March 13.

Broken down, Pefok has found the net 18 times in 28 league matches and on another five occasions in 12 cup encounters.

FIRST GOAL FOR REYNOLDS

Bryan Reynolds scored his first goal for Kortrijk in its 3-2 home defeat to Anderlecht in the Belgian Pro League on Sunday, April 10.

The FC Dallas product took a long cross from Nayel Mehssatou and placed it into the bottom left corner for the final goal of the match in the 67th minute.

MILESTONE ACHIEVEMENT

Center back Tim Ream made his 250th league appearance for Fulham in its 3-1 English Championship loss to Coventry City at home on Sunday, April 10. He played the entire 90 minutes for the first-place side, as did defender and USMNT teammate Antonee Robinson.

Ream has been a mainstay at Craven Cottage since signing with the club August 2015.

BUNDESLIGA DEBUT

Kevin Paredes came off the bench to make his Bundesliga debut for Wolfsburg in its 4-0 win over in 4-1 loss vs. Feyenoord (April 10) on Saturday, April 10.

The 18-year-old replaced Maximilian Arnold in the 86th minute and finished out the match.

REYNA SEASON OVER

In sadder news, USMNT attacker Gio Reyna has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a muscle and tendon injury early in Borussia Dortmund’s 2-0 win against Stuttgart on Friday.

Reyna was making just his second start since returning from a hamstring injury that was first suffered while with the USMNT last September and reaggravated at the start of 2022. The 19-year-old suffered the injury in the second minute of Friday’s match and departed four minutes later.
