CHICAGO (Nov. 15, 2021) – NJ/NY Gotham FC defender Imani Dorsey has been added to the BioSteel Training Camp roster for the U.S. Women’s National Team’s two-game trip to Australia. Dorsey was added to provide some more depth to the group of outside backs and brings the U.S. roster to 23 players.

The first match will take place at Stadium Australia in Sydney on Saturday, Nov. 27 at 3 p.m. local time (Friday, Nov. 26 at 11 p.m. ET on FS2) and the second will be at the McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle on Tuesday, November 30 at 8:05 p.m. local time (4:05 a.m. ET on ESPN). U.S. head coach Vlatko Andonovski will choose 18 players to suit up for each of the matches.

The 25-year-old Dorsey was the 2018 NWSL Rookie of the Year for Sky Blue FC before the club’s rebrand. She played in 16 matches for Gotham FC this season. This is the second call-up for a full USWNT event for the 2017 ACC Offensive Player of the Year at Duke. She did attend Andonovski’s first training camp in November of 2019 and was also at the U.S. Women’s National Team Identification Training Camp in December of 2019.

The roster now includes the three most recent NWSL Rookie of the Year winners: Ashley Hatch (2017), Dorsey (2018) and Bethany Balcer (2019).
