USMNT REWIND: Sargent, Dike, Aaronson, Boyd Lead List of Seven U.S. Players to Score for Their Clubs Over the Weekend

What a bountiful weekend for U.S. Men's National Team players.
It seemed that just about every time we turned our heads another American was celebrating a goal.
Seven USMNT players found the net in one of the busiest goal-scoring weekends this season.
The average age of those goal-scorers was a remarkable 21 years.
Daryl Dike, Brenden Aaronson and Josh Sargent made the biggest headlines and splashes for their respective clubs.
In chronological order:
On loan from Orlando City SC, Dike connected in back-to-back matches four days apart. The 20-year-old forward has scored three goals in his last four appearances for Barnsley, helping revive the English Championship team's quest for promotion to the English Premier League.
On March 3, he recorded the first tally in a 3-1 victory at Queens Park Rangers. On Saturday, Dike latched onto a Carlton Morris feed on the right flank and drilled a 16-yard rocket into the upper near corner for the lone goal in the 49th minute to lead Barnsley to its seven successive triumph in the 1-0 win over Birmingham City. Barnsley manager Valerien Ismael called the goal an "unbelievable strike."

After recording a goal in the 4-0 Austrian Cup semifinal win against Sturm Graz on March 3, the 20-year-old Aaronson was at it again on Sunday, did himself one better in a 4-1 victory over St. Polten.
His pressing led to a fortunate deflection which set up Patson Daka's equalizer in the 17th minute before taking the score to 3-1 in the 69th minute. The former Philadelphia Union midfielder put home a feed from Zlatko Junuzović from 13 yards, his third goal across all competitions for the Austrian club.

Sargent also found the back of the net for a second straight game, as Romano Schmid crossed from the right to find him for an open header at the back post in the 66th minute of Werder Bremen’s 1-1 draw with Köln.

Playing in his 60th career Bundesliga match, Sargent became the fastest USMNT player to reach double digit goals in the German top-flight, beating out Bobby Wood by two matches. At 21 years, 15 days Sargent, also became the second youngest USMNT player to accomplish the feat, following Christian Pulisic, who did it with Borussia Dortmund at 20 years, four days in 2018.
Sargent’s four league goals this season tie him with Leonardo Bittencourt and Niclas Füllkrug for the team lead this season.

Tyler Boyd, 26, slotted home his first goal for Sivasspor in its 2-2 deadlock at Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday. An opportunistic Boyd put home a rebound in the 38th minute.

Winger Luca de la Torre, 22, could not have made his first pro goal more dramatic in Heracles' 2-1 victory over PEC Zwolle in the Dutch Eredivisie on Sunday. His diving header two minutes into stoppage time snapped a 1-1 deadlock. He hadn't scored in 24 appearances across all competitions as Heracles ended a three-game winless skid.

Set to join the U-23 USMNT in Guadalajara, Johnny Cardoso, 19, scored his first professional goal in the 30th minute of Internacional's 2-2 draw at Pelota in the Brazilian Serie A on Friday.

Forward Konrad de la Fuente, 19, recorded the equalizer in the 47th minute to tie the game at 2-2 as Barcelona B rallied from a two-goal, first-half deficit en route to a 4-2 win against Llagostera in the Spanish Seguna on Sunday.

Defender Antonee Robinson, 23, came on in the 83rd minute and helped Fulham close out its 1-0 upset of host Liverpool in the English Premier League on Sunday. Fulham is trying to climb out of the relegation zone.

Defender Reggie Cannon, 22, registered an assist in Boavista's 3-0 home win over Famalicao in Portugal on Saturday. Cannon set up Paulinho's goal, which doubled the lead in the 65th minute.

Cameron Carter-Vickers. 23, played 90 minutes in consecutive games four days apart and also scored a goal while helping Bournemouth move back into playoff contention for promotion to the English Premier League. He struck in the 2-1 win at Bristol City in the English Championship on March 3 as Philip Billing's header deflected off his back and into the net and helped his squad to a 1-1 tie at Preston North End on Saturday. Bournemouth is in sixth place, which would make the team eligible for the playoffs.
