CHICAGO (Oct. 7, 2019) – U.S. Men’s National Team defender Walker Zimmerman has been forced to withdraw from the roster for the team’s Concacaf Nations League matches against Cuba and Canada following an injury suffered in the MLS regular season finale on Sunday.

Zimmerman was injured in the 66th minute of LAFC’s match against the Colorado Rapids.

Originally called up to the U-23 MNT roster this month, Atlanta United FC defender Miles Robinson will now join the USMNT in replacement of Zimmerman for this month’s matches against Cuba and Canada.

Additionally, USMNT forward Jozy Altidore left Toronto FC’s match against Columbus Crew SC in the 70th minute on Sunday afternoon and will be evaluated later today.

Tickets are still available for the USMNT’s opening match of the 2019-20 Concacaf Nations League against Cuba on Friday, Oct. 11 at Audi Field in Washington D.C. (7 p.m. ET; FS1, UniMás and TUDN). The team then plays its first away match of 2019 when it visits Canada at BMO Field in Toronto on Tuesday, Oct. 15 (7:30 p.m. ET; ESPN2, UniMás and TUDN).
