  • Altidore, Arriola, Morris and Bradley also started the 2017 Concacaf Gold Cup Final, with Altidore and Morris scoring the USA goals in the 2-1 win against Jamaica. 

  • The USMNT’s second all-time leading scorer against Mexico, Michael Bradley (5 goals) is joined by Jozy Altidore and Jordan Morris as trio of starters that have found the back of the net against El Trí. Both Altidore (2-2 D; Feb. 6, 2008) and Morris (2-0 W; April 15, 2015), scored their first international goals against Mexico. 

  • With the start, Christian Pulisic will have appeared in all six matches during the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup. Pulisic is the first player to register three goals and three assists in the Gold Cup since Landon Donovan in 2013.  

  • Zack Steffen, Matt Miazga and McKennie each started the last match against Mexico, a 1-0 victory on Sept. 11, 2018 in Nashville. 

  • Altidore scored one of his 42 international goals at Chicago’s Soldier Field, tallying in a 2-2 draw with Poland on Oct. 9, 2010. 

  • Arriola makes his team-leading 11th appearance of 2019. 

  • The USA comes into tonight’s match on a team-record 10-game winning streak in Concacaf Gold Cup play (July 12, 2017-July 3, 2019). 

  • Playing in a tournament record 11th Gold Cup Final, the USA is 4-4-2 all-time in the championship match, winning the two draws on penalty kicks.

  • The USA defeated Mexico 2-1 in the 2007 Final and Panama 1-0 in the 2013 Final at Soldier Field. The team is a perfect 6-0-0 against Concacaf nations at the Chicago venue. 

  • The USMNT is 19-34-15 all-time against Mexico, but since 2000 leads the series with a 14-7-6 mark.

  • With a win tonight, the USA would claim its seventh Concacaf Gold Cup trophy, tying Mexico for the most in tournament history.
