John Brooks Departs MNT Camp

MNT center back John Brooks will miss Tuesday's match against Mexico as he returns to German Bundesliga club Wolfsburg

CHICAGO (Sept. 8, 2018) – U.S. Men’s National Team defender John Brooks has departed following Friday’s match with Brazil. Planned prior to the start of the camp, the 25-year-old center back will return to German Bundesliga club Wolfsburg and will not be replaced, leaving the MNT roster at 23 players ahead of Tuesday’s match against Mexico.

The MNT continues the Kickoff Series with USA-Mexico, presented by AT&T, on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn. The next chapter of the region’s most storied rivalry begins at 7:30 p.m. CT with ESPN and Univision covering the action.
