CHICAGO (April 1, 2018) – Defender Kelley O’Hara has been ruled out of the U.S. Women’s National Team roster for the upcoming friendlies against Mexico due to a hamstring injury. The USA will take on Mexico on April 5 in Jacksonville, Fla. (7 p.m. ET; FS1 and UDN) and April 8 in Houston, Texas (12:30 CT; FOX).

U.S. head coach Jill Ellis has added two players to the training camp roster, giving first WNT call-ups to U.S. U-23 WNT starting outside back Tegan McGrady and midfielder Haley Hanson of the Houston Dash.

Hanson, who played at Nebraska, was the seventh overall pick in the first round of the 2018 NWSL College Draft by the Houston Dash. She has played all 90 minutes in the Dash’s first two games of the season, a 1-1 tie with the Chicago Red Stars and a 0-0 draw with Utah Royals FC. Hanson played with the U.S. U-23 WNT at the end of 2017 and the beginning of this year.

McGrady, a rising senior at Stanford, has played with the U.S. Youth National Teams at the U-17, U-18, U-20 and U-23 levels and recently started all three matches against NWSL teams for the U-23s in the Thorns Spring Invitational in Portland, Ore. McGrady joins Stanford teammate Tierna Davidson on the roster. Both made major contributions on the back line as the Cardinal won the 2017 NCAA Championship.

Ellis will choose 18 players to suit up for each of the two matches.
