MARYLAND STATE YOUTH SOCCER ASSOCIATION

Maryland State Youth Soccer Association works to expand access to the game in underserved communities across their state. Through Let’s Play! - their free, after-school program for Title 1 and Community Schools - they combine soccer with nutrition, mentorship, and social-emotional learning to positively impact the lives of participants and communities.

MSYSA is committed to helping the wider soccer community use the sport for good, so they’ve shared a wide range of Let’s Play! Tools on the Hub including their eight-week curriculum guide, key role descriptions for Let’s Play! staff, data gathering tools, and presentations to help engage school leaders in the program. Thank you MSYSA!

The score that matters

'I believe, like Nelson Mandela, that sport has the power to change the world! The score that matters to me is ensuring that every child, no matter where they live, what they look like, or what resources they have, has an equitable opportunity to experience sports through that lens.'

- Nathean Meadows, Director of Outreach & Grassroots
