NATIONAL TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
- Started her WNT career as defender and reached the full international level after featuring prominently in the back for the WNT programs at the U-17 and U-20 levels, playing a starring role as the USA won the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
- She emerged as a key player for the WNT at the end of 2015 after a stellar NWSL season. She played as a winger/striker until the final game of the 2018 SheBelieves Cup against England when she played left back, a position she then held during for most of 2018-2023 except when she was out during her pregnancy.
- Made her second Olympic Team for the delayed 2020 Tokyo Games and was the only player to start all six games.
- She captained the USA on March 8, 2020, against Spain at the SheBelieves Cup in Harrison, N.J. near her hometown of Rockville Centre, N.Y. as she was honored pre-game for her 100th game for the USA.
- In 2016, she scored six goals while helping the USA win the CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying Championship, including a team record-tying five goals against Puerto Rico on Feb. 15, joining an elite group of six other players to have scored five times in a WNT match.
- Made her first Olympic Team roster in 2016, playing in all four games while starting two and scored her first Olympic goal, tallying in the 2-2 draw with Colombia in group play.
PREVIOUS WORLD CUP EXPERIENCE
- A member of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup champions, she had a stellar tournament going against some of the world’s fastest and most dangerous attackers and gained extra distinction for her performance against home favorites France in the USA’s Quarterfinal victory.
- She played every minute of all six of her starts in France at outside back and had one assist in the tournament, that coming in the opening game victory vs. Thailand.
CLUB HIGHLIGHTS
- Pregnancy and her return to fitness kept her off the field for most of the 2022 season, but after the birth of her son on May 20, she was able to return to game action for the end of the regular season with Portland Thorns FC. Her season highlight came in the semifinal playoff match when she came off the bench in the 62nd minute and scored the game-winner on dramatic driven shot in the third minute of stoppage time to seal the 2-1 win over San Diego Wave FC. She also played the final 17 minutes of the NWSL Championship Game to help the Thorns defeat the Kansas City Current, 2-0.
- In 2021 she helped the Thorns win three trophies: the NWSL Challenge Cup, the Women’s International Champions Cup and the NWSL Shield for finishing atop the league standings but played her final NWSL game of the season on Oct. 10 due to her pregnancy, which she announced a month later.
- Was a key part of the North Carolina Courage sides that won NWSL titles in 2018 and 2019
- Played for Chelsea FC in England in 2017.
- Scored twice in the 2016 NWSL Championship Game as the Washington Spirit and the Western New York Flash tied 1-1 through regulation. Dunn scored a potential game-winner one minute into overtime, but the Flash equalized at the end of overtime and eventual won in penalty kicks.
- In 2015, after being one of the last players released from the final roster for the Women’s World Cup she took advantage of the increased time with her club and had a spectacular season for the Washington Spirit, winning the Golden Boot after leading the league in goals with 15 in 20 games as well as winning the MVP award. At 23, she became the youngest MVP in the short history of the league.
