More Places to Play
More Places To Play
To grow the game, we need more places to play. The Soccer Forward Foundation is prioritizing efforts to unlock more spaces, whether through new fields, space conversions, or increased access to existing facilities.
To aid these efforts, over the next few months, we are rolling out a suite of advocacy tools and resources, along with case studies from around the country to help you establish more soccer spaces.
- Advocacy Tools: Digital assets and research to support discussions with local parks, recreation departments, school districts, elected officials, local businesses, and foundations to help secure funding, develop, unlock, and improve places to play
- Coalition Building: Guidance and strategies for bringing together local organizations, policymakers, businesses, and members to champion and support the development of new places to play
- Best Practices: Best practices, tools, and how-to guides for developing soccer spaces, including single fields, small-sided courts, rooftop spaces, and court conversions
The 2026 FIFA World Cup and 2028 LA Olympics present a unique opportunity to inspire communities and spark a new generation’s passion for soccer. Soccer Forward will help you leverage these national moments to grow the game and establish more places to play for future generations.
