Jozy Altidore Forced to Withdraw from U.S. Men’s National Team’s October Nations League Roster Due to Injury

Training Camp Roster Reduced to 25 Players Ahead of League A, Group A Matches against Cuba and Canada

CHICAGO (Oct. 8, 2019) – U.S. Men’s National Team forward Jozy Altidore has been forced to withdraw from the roster for the team’s Concacaf Nations League matches against Cuba and Canada following an injury suffered in the MLS regular season finale on Sunday.

Altidore left Toronto FC’s match against Columbus Crew SC in the 70th minute on Sunday afternoon.

The training camp roster now stands at 25 players ahead of the USMNT’s opening match of the 2019-20 Concacaf Nations League against Cuba on Friday, Oct. 11 at Audi Field in Washington D.C. (7 p.m. ET; FS1, UniMás and TUDN). The team then plays its first away match of 2019 when it visits Canada at BMO Field in Toronto on Tuesday, Oct. 15 (7:30 p.m. ET; ESPN2, UniMás and TUDN).
